What We Do
At Holy Trinity Church, we believe each person has unique gifts to share in service to God and our community. Our ministries and activities allow parishioners to live out their faith through worship, service, and fellowship, creating a strong sense of family and belonging for everyone.
Liturgical Ministries
Worship is at the heart of what we do. Every service is an opportunity to come together, pray, sing, and be spiritually nourished. We encourage all members to participate in the liturgy, whether as acolytes, Eucharistic ministers, lay readers, ushers, or greeters. Our choir, open to all skill levels, brings depth to our services, expressing the full range of emotions through music.
Outreach Ministries
We believe everyone is called to serve, whether through community outreach, personal ministry, or lending a helping hand in church life. From preparing meals at the New Bedford Salvation Army to supporting the food pantry at Old Stone Baptist Church in Tiverton, our parishioners share their gifts and answer the call to care for our neighbors. Holy Trinity also organizes seasonal donation drives, including fresh produce grown in our church garden, to support those who need it most.
Our Community Partnerships
FEEDING MINISTRY AT OLD STONE BAPTIST CHURCH
Holy Trinity collects weekly donations for Old Stone Baptist Church's Food Pantry which provides food to those who are food insecure in Tiverton, Little Compton, and Westport, MA. In addtion to collecting weekly donations, in the summers we also grow produce in our garden to bring to the pantry.
OLD STONE BAPTIST CHURCH FOOD PANTRY CONTINUES TO SERVE MANY NEIGHBORS. Consistently, their food pantry needs cereal, coffee, cleaning supplies, spaghetti sauce, canned meats, canned fruit, juices, cake and dessert mixes, Hamburger Helper and similar products, peanut butter and jelly, macaroni and cheese (boxed or canned), and instant mashed potatoes. Also, any financial donations used to restock the closet with specific items are appreciated. Financial donations can be given during the offering: make checks payable to First Baptist Church and clearly mark them for the food closet, or see Sherrill Estes. Food items can be brought at any time and left in the church kitchen.
LAUNDRY LOVE
Do you or someone you know need mental health support or assistance with laundry? Would you like to support Tiverton community members in accessing the care they need?
Holy Trinity partners with No Wrong Door and Laundry Love, which connect community members to the care systems they need.
Recurring public Laundry Love events take place at Micki's Mat on Bellevue Avenue in Newport twice a month, and a closed event is held once a month for Tiverton residents living at Apple Creek Apartments on Windwood Drive in Tiverton.

Holy Trinity partners with My Brother’s Keeper, an organization that strives to follow the words of St. Francis of Assisi: “Preach the Gospel at all times. When necessary, use words.” We serve people in their time of need with dignity and respect. We do not preach, and we do not judge.

Furniture Assistance
My Brother’s Keeper can provide everything needed to furnish a bare apartment: beds, cribs, dressers, refrigerators, kitchen sets, and living room sets, as well as important household items like dishes, pots, pans, sheets, and towels. Learn More.
Food Assistance
Residents of Brockton, Easton, and Tiverton who struggle with food insecurity can call My Brother’s Keeper between 10 AM and 12 PM and receive a healthy, substantial food delivery between 3 and 5 PM the same day. Learn More.
Christmas Assistance
Each Christmas, My Brother’s Keeper brings joy to kids and relieves stress for parents who cannot provide presents for their children. Learn More.
Credentials for Credibility
My Brother’s Keeper partners with local shelters and driving schools to help homeless and formerly homeless adults obtain a driver’s license, one of the strongest predictors of self-sufficiency. Learn More.

Collection Counters work as a team of 2 to count the weekly offering collection and other funds that may come in during the week. The counters arrange a time suitable between them, typically after the Sunday service or during the week.
Episcopal Charities Annual Appeal requires a coordinator to assist with parish members in response to the diocesan annual appeal.
Harvest Fair is our parish’s signature fund-raising event held yearly in the fall. Volunteers work together as a committee to coordinate all facets of this event. Everyone shares in fellowship and fun in the planning process.
Parish Gardeners are needed to maintain the church flower beds. Time involved is seasonal and flexible during the warmer months. Work includes planting, weeding, trimming of flowers gone by and minimal work to assist with spring and fall cleanups. Holy Trinity also nurtures a small vegetable garden which requires some maintenance. All produce is distributed to the local food pantry.
Stewardship Annual Campaign requires 1-2 chairpersons to coordinate this annual giving campaign. Stewardship refers to the sharing of our time, talent and treasure. It is a means by which we can strengthen and deepen our faith. Your pledge is an annual commitment made in good faith to give an amount of money to the church in this voluntary practice of pledging.
Grocery Receipts – Lees Market (Westport) and Clements Market (Portsmouth):
Save your grocery receipts from both Lees and Clements Markets and drop them in the baskets in the church entry or in the basket in the hallway on the lower level outside the Trinity Trader. The markets donate one percent of the grocery receipt totals. It’s something that everyone can do to support the church.
Vestry is the leadership body responsible for the parish. Works closely with the parish priest. Usually serves a 3-year term and meets monthly. Express interest in becoming a candidate for an open position by contacting the priest.
Trinity Trader Thrift Shop
Trinity Trader Thrift Shop is the backbone of our parish, both financially and in offering outreach to our community. The Trinity Trader Thrift Shop is an all-volunteer group of parish members and friends who aim to provide the community with an enjoyable shopping experience that doesn’t strain their pocketbooks. Sale items include gently used clothing, household goods, books, and more at bargain prices. The "Trader" can be supported by donating items, volunteering, and/or becoming a customer. Must enjoy working with the public and having fun. The Trader is open on Thursdays and Saturdays.
Fellowship and Community Life
We see our congregation as an extended family, where everyone knows each other and has a place. We gather regularly through convenings like Books & Bread, Movie Nights, BBQs, Game Nights, Family Picnics, Coffee Hour, and our annual Harvest Fair. For many, Holy Trinity is a second home, a place to find comfort, support, and friendships that feel like family.
Support Groups and Outreach
In addition to our church ministries, Holy Trinity Church hosts Gamblers Anonymous and a Women's Spirituality Group. Open to the community, these groups provide a safe and supportive space for those seeking healing. We are proud to offer a welcoming environment that supports the needs of individuals from all walks of life.
