Baptisms, Weddings, Funerals, and Special Services

Holy Trinity Church is honored to be a place where people gather for life’s most significant and sacred moments. With its welcoming atmosphere and enduring historic legacy, our church offers a meaningful setting for celebrations and reflection for people of all ages and backgrounds. Guided by our mission of compassion and faith, we strive to serve our congregation and local community with Christ's love and hope.

We proudly serve Tiverton and surrounding communities, welcoming all who seek comfort, support, and blessing. Our pastoral staff is here to assist with:

  • Baptisms and confirmations for people of any age
  • Weddings, including pre-marital counseling
  • Funerals and memorial services
  • Pastoral support, including confirmation, confession, and anointing for the sick or dying

Special Services

Throughout the year, Holy Trinity Church observes several special services that mark important moments in our faith. These include Thanksgiving Day communion; joyous Christmas Eve and Christmas Day services celebrating the birth of Jesus; and Holy Week services such as Palm Sunday, Tenebrae, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and the Great Easter Vigil, leading to the celebration of Easter Sunday.

Weddings

The Celebration and Blessing of a Marriage is a Christian community expression in which a couple makes their vows before God and the Church, and the priest blesses the marriage on behalf of the Church. One member of the couple must be a baptized Christian, and the couple must commit to a lifelong marriage. As a parish of The Episcopal Church, Holy Trinity Church celebrates same-sex weddings, and a Blessing of a Civil Union is available to those who have been legally married but want a religious ceremony later.

Eternal rest, grant unto them O Lord
and let perpetual light shine upon them.

May the souls of all the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Amen.
